    CO-FOUNDER

    Before establishing ART AND VANITY, Christian worked for HELMUT LANG from ’91 to ’93  as designer and from 1993 on, until 2003, as his right-hand / second in command directly with Helmut Lang on all aspects of the creative development for all collections and the brand

     

    Many pieces resulting from his work during the decade 1992 - 2003 can be found in permanent collections of museums around the world or are sought-after vintage collector items.

     

    Led by his international experience, extensive product knowledge and understanding of all aspects involved in the creation and success of RTW collections, ART AND VANITY quickly grew a base of international clients and leading luxury houses.

    He is hands-on with clients and many request him to personally sketch and design all work for them

     

    Although he is a German native, Christian enjoys laughing - sometimes

    Besides their commitment and work for their clients, Christian and Nicole founded the brand no editions in New York, 2007.

    no editions is based on a concept that every item, style or object presented under the no editions name is offered only once with a unique print design or other decoration, but produced in series on an industrial level.

     

     

    no editions anticipated the need to create a layered, conscious and personal relationship between customer and each product, reflecting the advance in digital, technological and social developments - creating true individuality, artistic value and content with each item - opening a dialogue, not only about the garment or object, but as well about the content and artworks of the prints and decorations.

     

    With responsible sourcing and a dedicated focus on quality  -  production in Italy and Switzerland  -  raw materials from the best suppliers in Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, UK and Japan  -  ‘ no editions ' is a proposal for a new, personal, individual and responsible luxury,

    as much as a platform for creative collaborations with artists from various fields, combining latest technologies, art and craftsmanship

  • NICOLE LACHELLE

    CO-FOUNDER

    Prior to founding ART AND VANITY with Christian, Nicole has worked as stylist and designer in Vienna and New York, developing her own independent vision  -  she is involved in all aspects of the creative direction and development of brands and collections.

     

    Besides her creative activities she took on the role as founding partner and proved herself an intuitive and savvy business leader

    Her keen eye for talent and her emotional skills are a fundamental part to every new project

     

    She considers herself an international citizen with strong local rooting
